About Us

We are Polk. Thriving in sunny Central Florida since 1964, Polk State College currently serves nearly 20,000 students in over 16 academic programs, including associate and bachelor degree programs, certificates, and other non-degree options. Our program offerings continue to grow.

Polk County is strategically located midway between Tampa and Orlando, along Florida's High Tech Corridor. The College maintains campuses in Winter Haven and Lakeland, as well as educational centers at Airside (Lakeland), Lake Wales, and Clear Springs (Bartow). A new facilities is anticipated for Haines City as well.

Polk State's Lakeland and Winter Haven campuses also host the Polk State Collegiate High School programs where students can earn an associate of arts (AA) degree while completing their normal high school requirements.

The College boasts excellent academic programs and an outstanding intercollegiate athletic program (SOAR EAGLES!), stellar cultural and arts programs, a thriving campus life, and an impressive array of distinguished alumni. We make a difference in the lives of our students, and they in turn make a difference in our communities.
